A lift in restrictions means you can now start running bottle drives in Calgary again! For many non-profit organizations, bottle drives have been a primary way of earning additional funds that are needed for programs. We now offer online bottle drives that can be used for ongoing donations, but there’s nothing quite like an in-person bottle drive to gain a lot of momentum quickly. For this reason, we offer lots of resources to support your organization including bottle depot pick up services.

Our bottle depot offers pick up services because we know that bottle drives are typically run by volunteers and using our trucks can save a lot of time and fuel because less trips back and forth need to be done. On the day of your bottle drive, you can have all of the donated bottles brought to one location, either by your volunteers or by those donating. Once you are done collecting, we will bring our truck to the location to collect all of your bottles and bring them back to the bottle depot for counting.

We also offer other resources to make your bottle drive a success including bottle drive bags, bag stands, trailers and bins. These can be placed at a single location or if you are covering a large area, stationed throughout so bottles can be routed to a drop off location. Once all of the collecting is finished, you can round up the bags and bins so our bottle depot can pick them up. As mentioned, we will count them for you and present you with the refund amount to fund your organization.

Bottle depot pick up services are available to make your bottle drive as successful as possible. We will work with you to prepare for the big day and to help execute it so you can earn as much refund as possible for your efforts. Don’t go it alone, your local bottle depot may have pick up services that can make the task much easier for you and your volunteers.

When you are counting on funds being raised through your bottle drive, you want to get as much as possible at the time. Using our bottle depot pick up will help, but you can also set up and ongoing online bottle drive. This is really beneficial because if you visit homes that have no bottles today, or that won’t be home to leave their bottles out or drop them off, you can encourage them to use our residential bottle depot pick up services and designate the refund to your organization. This can be advertised prior to the bottle drive or you can leave a note on each door the day of so they know how to support you going forward.

Using bottle depot pick up makes your bottle drive much more manageable and efficient. You can also utilize our online bottle drive option to collect additional donations after the event and ongoing throughout the year. You just have to communicate with your supporters once your organization is registered with us.
